Just to set the record straight.....

....my mom wants all of you to know that I support the German soccer team during the 2014 World Cup! Not sure why I have to wear this stupid ribbon thing on my head for that, but mommy said that I have to sit still,  not eat the thing and look like a happy soccer fan - only then I would get a delicious treat!

And, as we all know, for good food and long belly rubs I support any team you want and hold off on shredding the ribbon thing.
Go, Deutschland! (And now give me that treat!)!

In my free time...

..when I am not sniffing, eating, chasing squirrels and sleeping, I have an awesome side job: I am a certified table tester!

Table with view into yard - premium quality

It does not pay very well, actually, most times, my best customers (mom and dad) even yell at me for testing, but I get great satisfaction out of the fact that I get to lay in the sun, elevated, so that I can see everything, and get a whole new perspective on life. The best rating for table comfort that my customers can get is the "worth laying on it"-label.

Sunny tables preferred!
I prefer indoor table testing over outdoors: Indoors there is always a chance of some food left on the table or an old bill to shred,
Testing a friend's table - free of charge.
..while outdoors you can get your paws dirty and, once in a while, even have to stand on stinky old moss. I mean, most times I like stinky, but moss is just not my flavor.

Outside testing, under protest.
So if you have a table that I can test for you, just let me know and I can swing by any time.

I spy with my little eye....

...what the neighbors are doing in their kitchen. When I jump on the bed and lower my head, I can peek under the curtain and watch them.

Ready or not....I'm watching!
I have to tell mommy that she doesn't have to leave the tv on for me anymore when she goes to work. I can just sit here all day and spy on the people in the blue house. It's almost better than squirrel watching. It gets even better at night, when they have the kitchen lights on. If I look very closely, I think I can even see whats in their little food store with the light in it that mommy call "fridge".

Like a good spy, my lips are sealed!
Daddy called me a voyeur, but I don't care. People watching is great entertainment, specially, when the people are behind glass and can't yell at me for peeking!

But don't worry, neighbors, your secrets are safe with me. Remember that one day when you thought nobody saw you when you picked your nose after you came out of the shower wearing that stupid white robe and the towel turban on your head? I have only told one other dog about it, maybe two.

Throwback Thursday #1

Hi guys,

Mommy kept saying this morning that I should do something for "Throwback Thursday", so I threw myself back into bed when she called me to go out for a walk.

My kind of throwback Thursday!
But that was apparently not what she was looking for me to do. I was also not supposed to throw the stupid kibble back into my bowl after mistakenly picking up a piece that was hiding between the tasty chicken....
What I was supposed to do was to post something here from way back when I was a puppy. So I picked this little video of little me learning to bark and howl. Hope you enjoy!

Happy "Everything is Green" Day

Not sure who this guy Patrick is that everybody keeps talking about in the news today.
All I know is that they must really like him - they even gave him a parade last week. Mom and dad took me there and, man, this Patrick-dude must love bagpipers!
Mommy, me and one of the bagpipers.
They had hundreds of them in this march through town. And maybe he is a firefighter?
Mommy, me and a firetruck!
There were tons of firetrucks driving through town with the bagpipers....I think his daughter is a cheerleader or a tap dancer - all of here friends were in his parade, too. And he must be pretty smart, too, even has his own school in town!
His favorite color must be green and mommy must be one of his followers also as she was wearing a green sweater this morning.
Well, whoever he is, I like him - mom is making corned beef in his honor today, and I hope there are some leftovers for me!
She said "Kiss me, I'm Irish", so I did!
Cheers to you, Patrick!

Spring forward??!!

I am not so sure what´s the buzz about this whole "spring forward" thing today. Mommy said that from now until November we are saving daylight with time or something. She took all the clocks from the wall and changed something on them, even on the one that has the silly bird come out.
(Why is he hiding in there? Did he steal the daylight? I keep barking at him but the coward only comes out to scream in German once an hour. Around midday, though, if I bark really a lot, he comes out like 12 times!! Man, must I upset him.)

My cowardly friend Cuckoo and his girlfriend
And then breakfast was an hour early and everybody was ready to leave the house an hour early and I was still so tired and then lunch was also so early and I think that something is wrong with mommy. Why does she forget when normal eating hours are? What is she going to do with all the daylight time she is saving? Will it be daylight for all of next winter and no more nighttime?
Whatever, I just let her talk about saving time and I am not concerned about it being daylight more often. I do some of my best snoozing during daylight. I just fall backwards and, boom, asleep!

Mommy said to spring forward - I am better at fall backwards.
